Nina Womack: Journey in the Entertainment Industry

Nina’s entry into the entertainment world began early as a child actor, at four years old, and a print model. From there, she climbed the ranks in Hollywood, starting as a film production intern before swiftly moving into executive roles at companies like BET’s Directors Circle FilmWorks and Lacy Street SStudios.With a keen entrepreneurial spirit, she established her entertainment production and sports marketing firm, Transmedia 360, headquartered in Los Angeles and most recently in Lagos, Nigeria, to expand opportunities and amplify the undiscovered talent in Africa on the global stage.

A proud graduate of the Los Angeles City College Theatre Academy, Queen Nina Womack honed her skills in theatre arts, public relations, and African American studies at Cal State University Northridge Her talent for event production has made her a leading figure behind major cultural festivals like the African Marketplace & Cultural Faire, the MLK Kingdom Day Freedom Festival, and the Malcolm X Festival, among others. These platforms have celebrated African heritage, fostered community, and driven socioeconomic growth.

Her passion for health equity led her to launch Let’s Be Whole, a public health initiative providing holistic wellness programmes, mental health support, and alternative therapies for underserved communities. Under her leadership, Let’s Be Whole addresses food insecurity by distributing rescued nutritious food to over 60,600 households annually, earning recognition from the City and County of Los Angeles and the State of California.

Efforts on Racial Trauma and African Culture Promotion

As co-chair of the Black and African Heritage Subcommittee for the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, Queenmother Nina has championed efforts to address racial trauma and promote African culture within the community. Her dedication to healthcare access extends globally, with partnerships that have brought breast cancer awareness and medical outreach programs to communities in Ghana and Uganda.

A multi-faceted leader, Nina is pursuing an International Business degree to further her mission of fostering global change. Her influence extends across Africa, where she holds prominent roles, including Global Director of Humanitarian Services for the African Diaspora Union, Director of Women’s Affairs at One Map Africa, Global President of the African Youth in Tourism Network focused on Africa’s tourism industry, and Ambassador at Heritage Liberia. Known affectionately as the “Development Queen of Africa,” Queen Nina Womack continues to advocate for the socioeconomic development of African people worldwide.

Queenmother Nina’s down-to-earth approach encourages personal connection among individuals from various backgrounds, inspiring them to embrace and champion African culture within their communities. This passion for cultural celebration has garnered recognition from organizations and leaders within the African community worldwide, affirming her status as a pivotal figure in promoting cultural understanding.

Her work highlights the importance of festivals and events in preserving African heritage and promoting cultural awareness, nurturing a sense of pride and mutual respect among diverse populations.

Queenmother Nina Womack was recently installed as the Ugo Nwanyi by His Royal Majesty, Eze Dr E.C Okeke, the Chairman of the Southeast Council of Traditional Rulers and Imo State, where he oversees 600 traditional rulers.
